Commuters

UC and GC Decals

Undergraduate and Graduate students can park in surface lots 5, 6, levels one and two of the Lot 7 parking garage, and Lot 17 (the top of the Forcina parking garage). Carlton House residents receive Undergraduate Commuter Parking.

Overflow parking for commuter students is located on the upper levels of Lot 13 (Decker/Cromwell).

Graduate students may also access any faculty/staff lot Monday through Friday (not weekends) after 4:00 p.m., during the regular academic year only (fall and spring semesters). If the faculty/staff lots are full or inaccessible, graduate students should park in the commuter lots 5, 6, 7, and 17. Access to faculty/staff lots is provided for convenience purposes only.

Vehicles bearing valid UC or GC decals are not permitted to park on campus between 2:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. If a commuter student does need to stay on campus between these hours, an overnight parking permit can be obtained from Campus Police in the Administrative Services Building.

Graduate students under contract with the college as Graduate Assistants through Graduate Studies may register one vehicle and motorcycle on a faculty/staff basis. They do not need to pay the fee and are permitted to park in faculty/staff lots during work hours. Vehicles bearing a “GA” decal may park overnight on campus if needed in Lot 7, level 3 only.

Parking in faculty/staff lots is prohibited for all other students AT ALL TIMES seven days per week.

Campus Town Residents

Campus Town is an off campus residence. There is parking available for its residents in their assigned lots however it is not guaranteed. Please reach out to Campus Town to obtain parking for the academic year. Please do not order a TCNJ parking decal through the CARS Portal.

Housing Status Changes

If you become a commuter or acquire on campus housing later in the year, you are required to obtain the appropriate parking decal. You must scrape the decal off your car and come to the Office of Student Accounts to obtain the new parking decal. You are responsible for any additional charges or will be refunded if needed.

Failure to obtain the correct decal may result in ticketing.


Winter Restriction Lots

If a snow emergency is declared, an official TCNJ email will be sent to the campus community. Vehicles will have to be moved from the tops of the parking garages and there will be no parking on the flat lots between midnight and 6:00 a.m. for the duration of the snow emergency.
