Fall 2024 Parking Permits

The online ordering of parking permits for the upcoming Fall 2024 semester are expected to be available on or around August 12, 2024. An email will be sent to the campus community with specific dates and ordering instructions closer at that time. Please be sure to check your TCNJ email for important updates.

Suspension of Ticketing in Student Parking Lots – Effective May 3, 2024 at 5:00pm

Starting Friday, May 3, 2024 at 5:00pm, ticketing for lack of valid decal only will be suspended for the summer in the student parking lots ( lots 5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 17). Parking in faculty / staff lots during this time is not permitted. All other parking regulations are enforced and violations will be ticketed. Ticketing will resume with the start of fall classes.


Lack of Valid Decal Ticketing and Parking Lot Gates

Lack of valid decal ticketing will continue to be enforced and lots will be patrolled as usual by Campus Police. Faculty and staff are expected to park in their assigned lots with the appropriate decal affixed to their vehicle. A gate in the upright position does not grant access to all vehicles, only those with the assigned decal for that parking lot.

Ordering Student Parking Decals 

Upper class residential students and commuters may order their parking decal be logging into the “CARS login” on the right side of the Parking Service homepage.

Please note: Only ONE annual decal or TWO semester only decals (one for Fall, one for Spring) can be ordered per academic year.  After ordering your decal, if you switch cars or there is a change to your residency status resulting in your need for a different decal, please notify Parking Services to arrange for an exchange of your original decal.

Parking Services and Campus Police would like to remind all faculty, staff, and students that they are required to park in the lot(s) to which they are assigned at all times. Parking in a lot or space without proper decal or pass can result in ticketing and/or towing.

Please be reminded that a parking lot gate in the raised position is not an indication that parking is permitted. Also, the use of hazard lights or flashers does not authorize parking in front of a building or in any designated space.

Parking System

The college has a web-based parking system called Campus Automobile Registration System (CARS). This system allows students, faculty, and staff to order decals online, print out a temporary dashboard permit so you will automatically have a valid permit, as well as monitor and/or appeal parking citations.
