Ordering Student Parking Permits
Fall 2025 parking permits are now available for purchase. For detailed instructions, please refer to the campus-wide email that was sent on August 13th to your TCNJ email address.
Please note: Only ONE annual permit or TWO semester only permits (one for Fall, one for Spring) can be ordered per academic year. After ordering your permit, should you need to switch vehicles, you will be able to go online to our CARS portal and transfer the electronic permit to your other vehicle.

NEW FOR 2025-2026: LPR Technology Comes to TCNJ!
Our new and improved electronic permitting system along with License Plate Recognition (LPR) eliminates the need for a physical permit. No more worrying about properly displaying your parking permit or picking up new permits for replacement vehicles. You will not receive a parking decal or placard this year. This latest technology will allow your license plate to be your parking permit! Please visit our LPR FAQ’s here for additional important information.
The College offers 10 electric vehicle charging stations in the Metzger Garage, Lot 7. These are available to those members of the campus community. For further information, please visit https://evcharging.tcnj.edu/
Vehicles parked in a campus parking lot that has been closed by the college for a dedicated reason are subject to being towed at the owner’s expense.

Parking Services and Campus Police would like to remind all faculty, staff, and students that they are required to park in the lot(s) to which they are assigned at all times. Parking in a lot or space without proper permit can result in ticketing and/or towing.
Please be reminded that a parking lot gate in the raised position is not an indication that parking is permitted. Also, the use of hazard lights or flashers does not authorize parking in front of a building or in any designated space.
Parking System
The college has a web-based parking system called Campus Automobile Registration System (CARS). This robust parking system allows faculty, staff, and students to go online to order your parking permit, make updates to vehicle information, and view/pay parking tickets.
